Alex Eckman was +11, Joe Mangine +8 and Tom McDowell +13 ... all losing a lot of strokes. McDowell led the team of Rick King, Pat Carey and Jim Rhode to a victory in the team game, while Joe Mangine's team won all the skins. Eckman and his team finished in second place for the day.

Opening Day Scramble was a great event. About as close as you could want it, less than 4 strokes between the winners and last place. The event was won by the Lipsetz Team. Al Lipsetz, Pat Carey, Jack Goodman and Mike Callahan. Team Eckman finished in second place only a stroke and a half out.
