With six different shots on the agenda, the Skills Challenge produced some surprise winners. Who would have thought that Mike Callahan will now be known as the "Sand Man"? Mike put his Sand shot 1'6" from the cup. With another great shot, Al Brillman was only 2'9" away on the 50 yard shot. JImmy Ballentyn won both the 100 and 150 yard shots and tied Tom McDowell for the overall victory. McDowell won the Long Drive beating out Alex Eckman and John Wieditz by just a few feet. He then proceeded to drop a putt in the cup to tie Rick King. McDowell's extra ball was left 8" away while King's was 11".
Can't wait for the next BIG event... The two-man Alternate Shot Tournament on December 11th.
